Atlanta, Ga. - The Georgia State women's tennis team (1-7) fell to UAB, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at Piedmont Park. Sophmore Diana Nakic, ranked 28th nationally, won in straight sets to improve her singles record to 8-0 on the season.
The Panthers lost the doubles point to start the match but the team of Diana Nakic/Linda Hricistova won at No. 2 doubles to make it close.
Junior Katerina Gresova earned her third victory of the season, playing at No. four singles. Nakic also won to remain perfect on the season without losing a set this season.
Georgia State returns to action on Friday to take on Samford at 1 p.m. at Piedmont Park.
