Orlando, Fla.--The No. 46 Georgia
State women's tennis team wrapped up its schedule during the Georgia State
University spring break with a 6-1 loss vs. No. 14-ranked Clemson on Tuesday.

nationally-ranked opponent to highlight the Panthers' (6-8) effort on Tuesday.
Byrd won 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) against Clemson's Beatrice Gumulya, ranked No. 45 in
the latest ITA National Singles rankings, to provide GSU's lone point on the

winning their fifth-straight match. The duo, ranked No. 56 in the latest ITA

Clemson's Liz Jeukeng and Tristen Dewar. Tere-Apisah and Grgan improved to 10-3
this year with the win.

first since joining the conference.
GSU's
showdown with Clemson (7-5) marked the ninth time this season it faced a
