ATLANTA – Competing at the Tiger Beach Challenge this weekend, Georgia State's tenth-ranked beach volleyball team improved to 6-1 (1-1 CCSA) with three wins Saturday, including victories over No. 8 Stetson and No. 9 FIU.
“Our team showed maturity and discipline today. We embraced the pressure and across all five flight we saw heart and hustle,” assistant coach Kirsten Gallagher said. “We are motivated to keep improving each time we step on the court.”
GSU began the day with a 3-2 win against No. 8 Stetson, followed by a 4-1 defeat of No. 9 FIU, GSU's first win in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association. Georgia State closed out Saturday with a 5-0 sweep of New Orleans.
