 JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – The No. 64 Georgia State men's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak come to an end Friday, falling on the road to North Florida 4-1.

It marked the Panthers first loss to a non-ranked team, falling to 9-4. The Ospreys improved to 4-9.

GSU stumbled in doubles play, winning only one of the three matches. Jack MacFarlane and Jannis Koeke fell 6-3 to Lasse Muscheites and Zach Goldberg, before Sebastian Acuna and Andrei Andrukhou defeated Julian Bradley and Yannick Zuern 6-2 in the No. 1 match to tie doubles. North Florida clinched the point when Felipe Jaworski and Joseph Bishop were defeated 6-4 by Jonathan Deautriell and Sahil Deshmukh.

The Panthers continued to struggle in singles play, with Zackery Kennedy falling 6-3, 6-0 to Muscheites in the No. 2 match. MacFarlane earned Georgia State's lone win, defeating Deautriell 6-1, 6-0.

In the No. 1 match, Koeke fell 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the tie-breaker set to Zuern. North Florida clinched the match with Bradley's 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Andrukhou. Acuna and Jaworski's matches went unfinished.

The Panthers will be back on the court to face Florida Atlantic on Sunday at 11 a.m., in Boca Raton, Fla.
