What you need to know:

* Georgia State avenged its regular season loss to UT Arlington Friday afternoon in New Orleans. The Panthers (13-8) edged the Mavericks 4-3 in the quarterfinal round.

* GSU took the doubles point as Arina Taluyenko and Tarani Kamoe clinched the point. Lara Vovk and Anastasia Grosheva also earned a doubles victory. Taluyenko, Grosheva and Vovk each tallied wins in singles play to help Georgia State reach the semifinals.

* The Panthers are set to face No. 2 seed South Alabama tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET.

NEW ORLEANS, La. – No. 3 seed Georgia State took care of business against No. 6 seed UT Arlington Friday afternoon. The Panthers (13-8) edged the Mavericks to avenge a 4-1 loss back on March 18.

GSU got off to a fast start by winning the doubles point. Arina Taluyenko and Tarani Kamoe clinched the doubles point to improve to 12-7 on the season. Anastasia Grosheva and Lara Vovk also picked up a win over Valeria Lopez and Agustino Serio 7-6 (7-5).

Grosheva clinched the 4-3 win for the Panthers with her three-set victory against Jessica Birowski. Taluyenko and Vovk also notched victories to help GSU to the semifinals. Taluyenko is now 15-3 this season.

Georgia State will take on No. 2 seed South Alabama tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET. The Panthers lost 5-2 at South Alabama on April 7.
