CONWAY, S.C. - The Panthers fell behind early after dropping the doubles point, despite Lara Vovk and Damira Muminovic holding a lead when Coastal clinched. The Chanticleers would take a 2-0 lead via a walkover win at court six singles. Coastal Carolina would win in two sets on court three, pushing the lead to 3-0.
After dropping the opening set on all five courts, Vovk, Eva Chivu, Daniela Ramirez would rally back to win second sets and force a deciding third. Anastasia Grosheva battled her second set to a tiebreak, but fell 7-1, giving Coastal the 4-0 clinch.
Georgia State is back in action tomorrow taking on Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina. The Panthers and Mountaineers will get things going at 10:00 a.m.
