>Georgia State's seven sacks tie the school record, originally set at ULM in 2017.

>In the last two games, the Georgia State defense has held App State and South Alabama to an average of 317 total yards per game.

>GSU now has 30 sacks on the season, needing just eight games to surpass the season record of 24 set in 2017

>Georgia State is No. 1 in the Sun Belt and No. 5 in FBS in sacks (3.75 per game).

>GSU also leads the Sun Belt in tackles for loss (8.2 per game, No. 12 FBS) and turnovers forced (16, No. 8 FBS).

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

>Sam Pinckney caught five passes for 176 yards, the sixth-highest single-game total in program history and just 15 yards behind Penny Hart's school record of 191 yards

>The Brown-to-Pinckney 65-yard pass play is the Panthers' longest completion since 2017 (Conner Manning to Devin Gentry, 71 yds vs. Texas State).

>Pinckney surpassed 1,000 career yards. He is No. 7 in GSU history with 1,169 receiving yards on 73 receptions (tied for 10th).

>With 1.5 sacks, Hardrick Willis has set a new Georgia State record with 11.5 career sacks. The previous record was 10.5 by Mackendy Cheridor.

>Jordan Strachan had two sacks to raise his season-record total to eight. His 10.5 tackles for loss are two behind the GSU season record (12.5, Alonzo McGee in 2015).

>Strachan (1.00 pg, No. 9 FBS) and Willis (0.79 pg) are first and third in the Sun Belt in sacks. Strachan is also third in the Sun Belt in with 1.30 TFL pg.

>Tucker Gregg tied the school record for rushing touchdowns in a game with three. Gregg is one of seven Panthers to score three or more touchdowns in a game. The record is four by Donovan Harden in 2014.

>Quad Brown passed for a career-high 334 yards. He finished the game with 10 straight completions, going 10-for-10 for 207 yards on GSU's four second-half scoring drives.

>Taking over for starter Noel Ruiz, redshirt freshman Michael Hayes was perfect on five kicks (4 PAT and a 23-yard FG), and had only two of his six kickoffs returned for a total of 12 yards. He averaged and netted 44.2 yards on four punts, including two downed inside the 20. His season-long 58-yard punt was downed at the 3-yard line.
