ATLANTA- No. 16 Georgia State is back on the beach this weekend for four matches in Deland, Florida. The weekend is highlighted by matches with No. 7 Stetson and a rematch with No. 18 FAU. The Panthers will also face Stetson, St. Petersburg and St. Leo.
Action will begin Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. when the Panthers meet Stetson. State will have a short break before battling FAU at 2:00 p.m. Sunday will see GSU in a morning doubleheader meeting with St. Petersburg at 8:00, before facing St. Leo to finish this weekend's action.
Georgia State opened the season with a 4-1 win over No. 10 FIU. The Panthers continued their impressive winning run with victories over UNF (4-1) and Mercer (5-0) before falling to No. 18 FAU. Three pairs,
Eden Hawes and
Maddy Delmonte,
Maddie Gordon and
Becky Tresham, and
Kate Novack and
Kelly Dorn, only dropped one match each on the weekend. Freshman
Elise Saga paired with
Meagan McCall to pick up their first win in a dual match.
