ATLANTA -- Georgia State (1-3) will return to action after a two-week hiatus. The Panthers will first battle Kennesaw State Friday before meeting Furman on Saturday. Both matches will be held at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.
No. 30 doubles pairing Andrei Duarte and Roberts Grinvalds took down the No. 31 pair during the team's last competition at Georgia Tech. Despite the squad's strong showing in doubles action, the Panthers ultimately fell to the cross-town rival.
GSU will face a Kennesaw State team that holds a 1-4 record. The Owls are coming off a narrow 4-3 loss to Sun Belt opponent, Coastal Carolina. Friday's first serve is slated for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, the Panthers will meet a Furman team which holds an even 3-3 record. The Paladins are coming to Atlanta behind a 7-0 sweep of UNC Greensboro to snap a three-game losing streak. Saturday's first serve is set for a 2:00 p.m. start time.
