Panthers Enter April with Pair of Road Challenges Facing Coastal Carolina, Presbyterian

ATLANTA- Closing out the month of March with a split in road play last weekend, the Georgia State men's tennis team enters April traveling for a pair of road contests this weekend facing Sun Belt opponent Coastal Carolina on Saturday, April 2 and Presbyterian on Sunday, April 3. No. 69 GSU currently sits at 11-7 overall and in second place in the conference at 3-1 as head coach Jonathan Wolff and the Panthers prepare to play out the remainder of the regular season nearing SBC tournament play.

With two additional SBC outings and a total of four matches remaining before conference tournament competition, GSU looks to rebound following a loss to No. 48 Louisiana last weekend. The Panthers secured a shutout win over UT Arlington, 4-0, on Friday, but dropped the match facing the conference's top ranked team in Louisiana.

No. 78 doubles pair Andrei Duarte and Roberts Grinvalds remained strong at the top court as the duo secured consecutive wins in No. 1 doubles and helped the Panthers secure the deuce point in each match. GSU has seen doubles victories in 13 of its 18 matches this spring.

After claiming the early point in its match against Louisiana, a shorthanded GSU ultimately dropped in singles play and fell, 4-1.

The Panthers will see three away matches slated for the month of April before returning home for Senior Day against Tennessee Tech on Sunday, April 10. The Sun Belt Conference Championships will begin Friday, April 15 at Peachtree City Tennis Center.

GSU will travel to Conway, S.C. for Saturday's matchup with SBC foe Coastal Carolina. Match time is set for 11 a.m. ET and the Panthers will play the Chanticleers at Stevens Tennis Complex.

Sunday will feature an additional road outing as GSU matches up against Presbyterian at 2 p.m. ET. The match will be held at Templeton Tennis Courts in Clinton, S.C.

Live stats will be available for Saturday's conference match verses Coastal Carolina. More information will be posted to the team's social media accounts leading up to and throughout the weekend.
