Beach Volleyball Travels to South Carolina for Palmetto Invitational

ATLANTA- The Georgia State beach volleyball team travels to Columbia, S.C. for the Palmetto Invitational this weekend. No. 14 GSU will compete in a slate of matchups set to include meetings with No. 20 Florida Gulf Coast and College of Charleston on Friday, April 15, followed by host No. 18 South Carolina on Saturday, April 16.

The Panthers enter the first day of tournament competition in Columbia having closed out home play for the spring 2022 season at the annual GSU Digging Duals last weekend. GSU posted four victories at the GSU Beach Volleyball Complex and improved to 7-0 at home.

Angel Ferary and Bella Ferary continued their dominant streak of victories in dual match play last weekend improving to 27-2 for the year. The duo has notched 15 wins over ranked opponents this season.

Currently 18-11 and 4-3 in conference play, GSU nears the Conference USA Championships set to begin April 28. The weekend tournament in South Carolina will mark the Panthers' final regular-season tournament for the season.

GSU will face No. 20 FGCU on Friday at 9 a.m. ET, followed by College of Charleston at 3 p.m. ET. The second day of tournament play will see the Panthers battle host No. 18 South Carolina at 3 p.m. ET. 

Matches will be hosted by No. 18 South Carolina and held at Wheeler Beach in Columbia, S.C. Live scoring will be available for the Panthers' match against South Carolina.
