ATLANTA-- Georgia State hits the road for the first time this season, traveling to Huntington, W.Va., for a Thursday night game at Marshall on Oct. 17 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. 

> After falling 14-21 to Old Dominion on Oct. 12, Georgia State looks to secure its first Sun Belt win under head coach Dell McGee.   

 > Georgia State hits the road for a four-game road series starting at Marshall. After taking on the Thundering Herd, the Panthers travel to App State (Oct. 26), UConn (Nov. 1) and James Madison (Nov. 9) before returning to Center Parc Credit Union Stadium on Nov. 16 to host Arkansas State.

SERIES NOTES: Georgia State and Marshall are meeting for the third time in program history. The Panthers and the Herd are tied with one win each. 

> The Panthers are on a one-game win streak in the series after defeating Marshall 41-24 at home last season. 

> Georgia State looks for its first road win against Marshall after falling 28-23 in 2022.

PANTHERS VS. THE SUN BELT: Despite a slow start to conference play, the Panthers continue to stand in Sun Belt rankings on both sides of the ball.  

> The Panthers lead the Sun Belt and rank fourth in the nation for fewest penalties (23). 

> Offensively, the Panthers rank top 10 in the Sun Belt in completion percentage (7th with 0.595) team passing efficiency (9th with 128.18) and winning percentage (9th at 0.500). 

> The Panthers' passing offense ranks third in the conference and 35th nationally with 266.6 yards per game. 

> Defensively, GSU ranks fourth in the conference and 31st in the nation for fumbles recovered with four. Senior Kevin Swint leads the Panthers with two forced fumbles, and KD McDaniel, Izaiah Guy, Henry Bryant and  Rykem Laney have all recorded one fumble recovery. 
 

TRACKING THE RECORD: 

> Senior linebacker Kevin Swint currently has four sacks on the season, which is two away from tying the second place spot for single-season sacks (6), and seven away from breaking the record (10.5). 
> Ted Hurst's five touchdowns puts him four scores away from breaking the single-season touchdown record (8). 
> Liam Rickman stands with five field goals made, which is on track to break the single-season FG-made record of 15. 

After traveling to Marshall, the Panthers continue the four-game road series at App State on Oct. 26. Game time to be released soon.
