HARRISONBURG, -- Georgia State earned a 1-0 victory over James Madison on Friday, Nov. 1, at Sentara Park. The Panthers took the lead in the 23rd minute on an own goal by James Madison during a scramble in front of the net. Goalkeeper Josue Hangi made seven saves to preserve the shutout, as Georgia State withstood heavy pressure from the Dukes' offense. The win marks the Panthers' first conference victory of the season, providing a boost as they continue Sun Belt play.
