Panthers Fall to James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Georgia State fell 38-7 to James Madison on the road Saturday afternoon.

Zach Gibson led Georgia State's passing attack with 213 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown without throwing an interception.

Freddie Brock led all Panthers rushers with 24 yards in the contest. Michel Dukes also added 15 yards on the ground, as well as 39 receiving yards.

Gibson's most prolific target in the ballgame was Dorian Fleming, who caught three passes for 54 yards. Petey Tucker got in on the action in the passing game as well, hauling in five balls for 54 yards.

Josiah Robinson led the Georgia State defensive effort, recording 11 tackles, 2.5 TFL, one sack and two pass breakups. James Allen recorded a fake punt for a first down.

How It Happened

James Madison opened a 14-0 lead, but Georgia State scored with 14:55 left in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 14-7. Georgia State didn't score again in the game and James Madison added 24 more points to finish off the scoring.

Game Notes
> Receiver Ted Hurst tied the program record for single season touchdowns with eight. 

The Panthers host Arkansas State for the first home game in over a month for Homecoming on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 5:00 p.m.
