ATLANTA - Georgia State (4-3) fell 4-0 to FAU (7-3) at home on Sunday.
The Panthers entered Sunday's match FAU and fell short of securing the doubles point with losses at the first and second doubles courts.
Edward Tymes and
Diogo Morais partnered at the third doubles court and ended the match unfinished tied at 5-5.
In singles play,
Baran Soyler and Tymes quickly dropped matches at the first and second singles courts, giving FAU the 3-0 lead. The owls then clinched the match as
Maxwell Weir fell 6-3, 6-2 at the fifth singles court.
Gabriele Datei competed at the third singles court and ended the match unfinished with a 6-2, 5-2 score. Morais also went unfinished at the fourth singles court after splitting sets with this opponent.
The Panthers look to bounce back as they host UAB on Friday Feb 16 at 5 p.m.
