Huntsville, Ala. - No. 15 Georgia State continued their 2024 Sun Belt success, starting the conference's mid-season series, 2-0. First, the Sandy Panthers swept UNC Wilmington before blanking Mercer Friday evening. 
 
Bella Ferary, alongside sister Angel Ferary, notched her 93^rd career win in blue and white with a straight-set victory against Mercer on the first flight. This marks the most wins in program history, surpassing Brooke Weiner's career 92 wins, which has remained the record since 2019. 
 
TOURNAMENT NOTES 

• Georgia State entered the 2024 season as the Preseason Conference favorite. Prior to Friday's action the Panthers had secured two SBC wins. 
• The Sandys were led by a trio of pairs (the Ferary sisters, Savannah Ebarb /Destiny White, and Elise Saga/Ayla Johnson), who each secured two wins 
• Cassie Thayse and Kaylie Drysdale's victory over Mercer marks the pairs first win of the season as a duo 

 
UP NEXT 

• Sun Belt Conference mid-season action continues tomorrow, Saturday, March 23^rd.
• The Sandys will return to the courts at 10:15 a.m. for a morning meeting with the College of Charleston. 
• Overall, GSU holds a 10-2 advantage in all-time contests against the Cougars.
