MACON, GA-- Lead by sophomore Mencia Abaigar, the Georgia State cross country team finished third overall in the Julius Johnson Invitational at Mercer on Saturday afternoon.
Leading the charge for Georgia State was Mencia Abaigar, who finished strong in the 5k with a commendable time of 18:29.14, securing 9th place overall. Following closely was Julia Dura, who claimed 13th place with a time of 18:51.88.
Laure Kidukula finished third on the Panthers' leaderboard, finishing 20th overall with a time of 19:30.77. Julie Tonon crossed the finish line in 27th place, clocking in at 20:09.38, while Kayla Ramey and Ruqayyah Boyd completed the course with times of 23:27.13 and 24:24.04.
The Panthers are set to continue their momentum as they prepare for the Alexander ASICS VC Invitational on Oct. 4 in Fairborn, Ga.
