GULF SHORES, Ala. — Georgia State dropped the first round of the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship against TCU on Friday afternoon.
At flight one, Aree Keller and Ayla Johnson went 1-1 through a set and a half. After dropping the first set 21-16, the pair fought back to a 21-17 win in set two to send the flight to a third set. Sent three went unfinished.
Flight two saw Destiny White and Savannah Ebarb in an 0-2 (21-14, 21-11) finish.
Aliisa Vourinen and Ella Mozeleski went 0-2 at flight three, going 21-13 in set one and 21-12 in set two.
Michael Jefferson and Danica Singleton fought a back-and fourth in set one, but ultimately fell 22-20 in set one. Set two went unfinished.
At flight five, Kaebre Sullivan and Kealy Dirner brought set one to a 22-20 loss before dropping set two 21-17.
