CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Brody Tidwell finished tied for 11th overall to lead the Panthers golfers at the Whirlwind Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers recorded a 1075 team score through three rounds to finish eighth overall, propelled by a third-round performance at 11-under par that was tied for third-best of the round.

Tidwell posted a career low-round of six-under 66 to open the tournament and posted an eight-under 208 (66-71-71) score. He recorded 14 under-par holes, including five on the back nine in the first round.

Freshman Matthew Calhoun made his collegiate debut and finished second on the Panthers' leaderboard, tied for 18th overall with a six-under par 210 (69-73-68) score. Calhoun's final round of four-under par featured an eagle on the fifth hole.

Freshman Archie Cook made his collegiate debut as well and placed third on the Panthers' leaderboard. He shot a three-under par 213 (72-74-67) score with an eagle on the 12th hole in round one and eight birdies overall.

TOURNAMENT NOTES:

Erik Norman scored five-over par 221 (74-72-75).

Cole Finch scored seven-over par 223 (76-76-71).

The Panthers are back in action at the Iron Collegiate Classic, hosted by Eastern Carolina University, on Sept. 29-30.
