Athletics Communications Internship

Georgia State University is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals for an internship within the Athletics Communications department for the 2026-27 school year. 

This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing future careers in sports communication, journalism or public relations. Interns will assist in promoting Georgia State athletics programs through various media platforms and will gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Athletics Creative Services Internship

The Georgia State Creative Services team has internship openings for the 2026 - 2027 season. The Creative Services internship position will support media content for all Georgia State content platforms. This may include photographing or videoing practices/games/events, creating graphic content, editing photo or video, and producing engaging content for the athletic department's digital properties.

The Creative Services internship will run from July 2026 - 2027. Candidates will need to be able to work at the minimum 20 hours per week with weekend availability. Due to the unique nature of this position, the candidate must be able to work extended hours during the fall season which may include working on nights, weekends, and holidays. The Creative Services intern will work closely with the Creative Services team on a day-to-day basis, and report to the Assistant Director of Creative Services.

This position is based in Center Parc Credit Union Stadium in Atlanta, GA, but will require travel to other athletic facilities.
 

This is an unpaid position. Class credit is offered

Athletics Marketing Internship

The Georgia State Athletics is seeking marketing interns for th 2026-27 school year. The Athletics Marketing Internship provides students with hands-on experience in sports marketing, promotions, fan engagement, game preparation and event operations.

Game Operations Internship

The Georgia State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for Game Operations Student Staff positions for the 2026-27 school year. The position will begin in August 2026.

This position will assist with the setup, operation and breakdown of all GSU Athletics varsity events. 

Position: Georgia State Athletics – Game Operations Student Staff

This position is responsible for assisting with:

• Pre-Game field setup, post-game tear down
• Exterior signage setup/tear down
• Visiting Team and Game Officials Accommodation
• Collaboration with security and police
• Maintenance issue troubleshooting
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Able to lift and move objects of at least 30 lbs. 
• Able to multitask 
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work weekday evenings and weekends

Panther Athletic Club Internship

The Georgia State Athletics' Panther Athletic Club is seeking interns for the 2026-27 school year.  The Panther Athletic Club Internship provides students with hand-on experience in donor relations and game day hospitality operations.
