Troy Kruchten joined the Georgia State staff as the outside linebackers coach in 2025.
Previously, Kruchten served as the graduate assistant at the University of Florida, working primarily with the linebackers.In this role, Kruchten served as the assistant edge / linebackers coach as well as assistant to the defensive coordinator.
Prior to earning this position at Florida, Kruchten played linebacker at Louisiana from 2019-21 and accumulated 11 total tackles in 25 games played. He helped Louisiana win a share of the Sun Belt title in 2020 and the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship.
Kruchten also played two years at Southeastern Louisiana University before transferring to Louisiana.
The Woodlands, Texas native played at The Woodlands High School where Kruchten was named a First Team All-District and Second Team All-County member.
