Radio Broadcast Coordinator

Dave Cohen has been part of the Georgia State athletics staff for 42 years as the radio play-by-play announcer. He was named the broadcast coordinator in 1998.

Cohen handles the details for the live football, men's basketball and baseball radio/streaming broadcasts for Georgia State. For the 2025-26 season, he will again serve as the ESPN+ play-by-play personality for men's basketball and baseball games. Cohen is also the host of the Panther Insider Podcast.

Cohen added Panther football to his schedule following 12 seasons as a member of Furman University's football radio network in Greenville, S.C. Throughout his tenure in Atlanta radio, Cohen has worked for WRAS-FM, WGST-AM, WCNN-AM, WSB-AM, and WGUN-AM. Cohen was awarded Georgia State's prestigious Sparks Award in 2016 and was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame (GRHOF) in 2017. He's also a recipient of the External Affairs Panther Spirit Award.
