Nick Wilson joined Georgia State University as the Assistant Track and Cross Country Coach under head coach Ricardo Page in August 2024.
Wilson brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record from his previous roles. With over a decade of coaching at the collegiate level, Wilson is renowned for his leadership, expertise, and commitment to developing athletes to reach their full potential.

Lindsey Wilson College (2015-2024): During his tenure at Lindsey Wilson College, Coach Wilson led the track and cross country programs to notable success. His leadership resulted in three Mid-South Conference (MSC) championships and two second-place finishes. Under his guidance, the men’s team achieved a 4th place finish at the NAIA Indoor Nationals and a 6th place finish at the Outdoor Nationals in 2019. Additionally, Wilson elevated both the men’s and women’s cross country programs to consistent national rankings, reflecting their competitiveness on the national stage. He also coached his athletes to set 22 school records across various track and cross country events.

University of Rio Grande (2013-2015): As a Graduate Assistant, Coach Wilson significantly impacted the track and cross country programs. His tenure was marked by a dramatic expansion of the teams, growing the roster from just 14 athletes to 87. This increase was the result of targeted recruitment efforts and a focus on developing a competitive program. Under Wilson’s leadership, the teams achieved notable success, including securing River State Conference championships in both men’s and women’s outdoor track in 2015 and cross country in 2014. His coaching was instrumental in guiding athletes to set multiple school records and achieve personal bests, as well as earning several national qualifications. Wilson's innovative training methods and strategic approach to athlete development played a key role in elevating the teams' performance and establishing a strong competitive presence.

Valley City State University (2015-2016):Â Served as Assistant Coach, mentoring three athletes to their first NAIA national qualifications in cross country.

Personal Athletic Accomplishments:
Before embarking on his coaching career, Wilson enjoyed a successful four-year stint as a student-athlete at the University of Rio Grande. He was a four-time cross country national qualifier and a two-time track & field national qualifier. He finished as the runner-up twice at the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Championships and holds school records in the 3,000 meters and the 4x800 relay. Wilson graduated with his bachelor's degree from Rio Grande in 2013 and completed his master’s degree in 2015.
