Catherine Lee belted her 11th homer of the season to help Georgia State rally to a 8-7 win in the first game of the Colonial Athletic Association doubleheader against James Madison on Sunday, March 30. State fell in the nightcap, 14-0, moving its record to 25-8, 4-2 in CAA.
Lee finished the day batting 3-for-6 with four RBIs and one run scored. Sophomore infielder
Rachel Cunningham went 2-for-5 with a double and junior teammate
Holly Willis completed the day batting 2-for-4, including a RBI single in the first game.

Madi Gore finished the first game for State, improving her record to 8-2. In five innings she allowed just five hits and one walk, fanning five JMU batters.
In the first game, James Madison jumped on the board first in the top of the third inning when they scored four runs off five hits and two errors.
State put one run across in the bottom of the same inning, when Willis was brought home by a single through the left side by Lee.
The Dukes put up two more runs in the top of the fourth when Jenn Chavez brought home a run on a single up the middle. Kaitlyn Wernsing singled to the left side, bringing home the second run of the inning, putting James Madison up 6-1.

Danielle Roddy grounded out hit into a fielders choice, allowing
Lauren Fetters, who pinch ran for Mills, to score. With two outs and two on, Lee smashed her 11th homer of the season, bringing home three runs, putting the Panthers within one.
State took the lead in the bottom of the fifth as Cunningham singled up the middle. Outfielder
Lauren Jones sacrificed Cunningham to second. Mills drew her second walk of the day putting runners on first and second. A wild pitch advanced the runners before Roles hit a grounder to short, scoring Cunningham from third to tie the game at six a piece. With Mills on third, Willis pushed a single to the left side, scoring Mills and putting the Panthers up 7-6. A past ball and wild pitch scored Willis from second, giving State a two-run lead.
State dropped the second game of the CAA doubleheader, 14-0 as they could only produce three hits in five innings. Lee and Berry provided the only hits of the game, all of which were singles up the middle.
The Dukes put eight runs on the board in the first inning off of six hits, including a double from Courtney Simons and a pair of RBI singles from Brittany Dyson and Shannon Moxey, proving to be the only runs James Madison would need.
Georgia State returns to the diamond when they host a doubleheader against Kennesaw State on Tuesday, April 1 at 3 p.m. at
Bob Heck Field in Panthersville.
