Norfolk, Va. - Host and Colonial Athletic Association leader Old Dominion won for the sixth time in the past seven games in a 64-41 verdict over Georgia State on Sunday afternoon at the Constant Convocation Center.

The game was back-and-forth for the first 12 minutes, with each team holding a pair of leads before ODU was able to go on a 16-0 run to turn a 13-12 lead at 8:33 into a 29-12 advantage with 2:55 remaining in the half. The visiting Panthers shot just 6-of-25 in the first half (24 percent ) and had 15 turnovers.

Old Dominion (14-6, 8-1) got 13 points and seven steals from guard Jasmine Parker to go with 10 points and eight rebounds from JoNiquia Guilford.
"ODU was more aggressive and more physical than we were today," GSU head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener said. "They had a great crowd today and seemed to feed off that energy. We are capable of playing more physically, but we didn't today. Ball handling has been one of our weaknesses all season and they capitalized on that as well. And, then in the second half, we didn't box out and hit the boards."
Georgia State plays a third straight road game in Virginia with a trip to James Madison on Thursday.
