ATLANTA- Georgia State continues its winning ways in Panthersville, recording a 2-1 win over Belmont. The Panthers are now 6-0-2 for the season.

The team maintains their offensive hot streak, controlling the ball for the majority of the game. GSU also continues to outshoot its opponents, with a 14-7 shot advantage over the Bruins.

Suzanne Arafa scored the first goal of the game, putting the Panthers up 1-0 within 25 minutes of the start of the game. She was assisted by Ashley Nagy. This is Arafa's fifth goal of the season, and the seventh of her career.

Lauren Harriman scored the game winning goal, putting the score 2-0 before Belmont scored their only goal of the game. Harriman was assisted by Amanda Bruemmer for her second goal of the season.

“I think our players got a little sloppy, but credit goes to Belmont for their intensity in the second half. We need to close our games a little better, but in the end we got the win,” head coach Derek Leader said about the game.

The Panthers stay at home on Sunday for a 1 p.m. game against Davidson. Parking and admission are free.
