Panthers Fall 10-0 to Georgia Tech; Homestand Continues Friday

ATLANTA -- Georgia State fell 10-0 to Georgia Tech Wednesday at the GSU Baseball Complex as the Yellow Jackets swept the annual season series.

Jake Corso was a bright spot for the Panthers (3-5) as the senior first baseman went 3-for-4, including a double.

Georgia Tech starter Amos Willingham (1-0) pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits with five strikeouts and no walks.

Georgia State starter Brendon Case (0-1), a freshman right-hander making his first start, opened the game with two scoreless innings before Tech scored four runs in the third. Case and four GSU relievers combined for 10 strikeouts but allowed 10 hits, including two homers, and eight walks.

The Panthers return to action this weekend as Samford visits for a three-game series at the GSU Baseball Complex, beginning Friday at 4 p.m.
