ATLANTA -- Georgia State dropped the series finale to ULM 9-3 Sunday at the GSU Baseball Complex as the Warhawks earned a three-game sweep in the series.
Ryan Glass hit a two-run home run, his second of the season, in the fifth inning to lead Georgia State (9-23, 2-10 Sun Belt).
ULM (14-18, 5-7 Sun Belt) took a 3-0 lead after three innings, but Georgia State got on the scoreboard in fourth as Griffin Cheney singled, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on Elian Merejo's RBI-single, his team-leading 19th RBI.
But the Warhawks responded with four runs in the fourth to move ahead 7-1. Glass' homer in the bottom of the inning pulled GSU within 7-3, but the Panthers could get no closer.
ULM starter Kayleb Sanderson allowed three runs in 4.1 innings, but Kolten Childress relieved him in the fifth and earned the victory with 2.2 scoreless innings, including five strikeouts.
Four Georgia State pitchers struck out eight but walked 10.
Georgia State's homestand continues as the Panthers host in-state rival Mercer Wednesday at 6 p.m.
