Women's Soccer Hosts Troy and South Alabama Friday and Sunday

GSU closes out its Sun Belt schedule this weekend at home.

ATLANTA -- Georgia State's women's soccer team finishes its Sun Belt schedule this weekend with home contests against Troy and South Alabama.

Kicking Off

Georgia State hosts Troy at 7 p.m. Friday and South Alabama at 1 p.m. Sunday. Both games will be played at Center Parc Stadium.
The Panthers earned a draw at Troy in the first meeting this season and defeated South Alabama 1-0 in Mobile on Oct. 4. The win at South Alabama was GSU's first since 2003.
Georgia State is second in the Sun Belt East Division heading into the final two conference games. South Alabama is first by a point.
The Panthers rank sixth in the country and third in the Sun Belt with 16 goals scored this season. GSU is ninth in D-I and second in the conference with an .800 win percentage.
Freshman goalie Jaddah Foos has three clean sheets, good for fourth in the Sun Belt and 10th in D-I.
GSU returns 24 players from a team that advanced to the semifinals of the Sun Belt Tournament a season ago. Leading the pack of returners is Jimena Cabrero, one of GSU's two All-Sun Belt honorees in 2019.
Jimena Cabrero was named Preseason All-Sun Belt after a stellar freshman campaign in 2019. Cabrero led GSU with six goals with two assists for a total of 14 points.
GSU's roster features six international student-athletes; Four from Spain, 1 from Jamaica, 1 from Iceland.
Of GSU's 34 student-athletes, 21 are from the Peach State. Maryland has the second most Panthers with two (Kendra Clark, Jaddah Foos).

Fans are permitted at Center Parc Stadium.
