Men's Soccer Falls at Central Arkansas 2-0

CONWAY, Ark. – Making its final road trip of the regular season, the Georgia State men's soccer team fell to Central Arkansas 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Bill Stephens Track/Soccer Complex.

After a scoreless first half, Central Arkansas (2-4, 2-2 Sun Belt) got on the board in the 76th minute with a goal by Soren Jensen. The Bears added a second goal in the 88th minute by Christian Chavez to secure the win.

Georgia State (7-2, 2-2 Sun Belt) allowed two goals for the first time in a match this season. The Panthers managed just two shots as compared to eight for the Bears.

Justin Guest and reigning Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week Andrew Bennett provide the Panthers lone two shots.

MATCH NOTES
  • Georgia State finished the road portion of the schedule 4-2 this season.
  • Central Arkansas will make the trip to Atlanta in less than two weeks (Nov. 6) to conclude the regular season.
