Panthers Fall to South Alabama at Home

GSU will be the No. 2 Seed from the East Division at the Sun Belt Championships.

ATLANTA -- Georgia State fell 3-0 to South Alabama Sunday afternoon at Center Parc Stadium.

South Alabama's Kailey Littleford scored the first two goals of the game in the 26th and 60th minutes. Ana Helmert scored the final goal for USA in the 81st.

Georgia State recorded four shots to USA's six.

The Jaguars clinched the top seed in the East Division while the Panthers will be the No. 2 Seed at the Sun Belt Championships Nov. 4-8 in Foley, Ala.

Georgia State will play at 7:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 4 against the winner of Game 3 between the No. 3 Seed from the West and No. 6 Seed from the East.

The Panthers fall to 8-2-2 overall and 6-2-2 in the Sun Belt. GSU wraps up the regular season Wednesday against UAB at Center Parc Stadium.
