ATLANTA- After splitting action with in-state foe Georgia Southern, Georgia State returns to the GSU Sports Arena for a trio of matches against Coastal Carolina. 

SCOUTING GEORGIA STATE

> Last Thursday's victory over Georgia Southern marked the first Sun Belt victory for the Panthers this season. 

> Erin Wyatt made her career debut in a GSU uniform, accumulating 14 digs over the two matches. 

> Freshman Ava Vlkovic recorded her first college volleyball game at the libero position last Thursday, propelling the Panthers to victory. 

> Meisheia Griffin ranks second in the league in blocking with 1.42 blocks per set. 

> Ryan Spicer-Gordon is ranked in the Sun Belt top-10 in service aces per set. 

> Leah Wilcox's 3.20 kills per set is best for eighth in the conference.

SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA  

> Coastal Carolina finished the 2019 season with a 24-6 record. 

> The Chanticleers were picked to finish first in the Sun Belt East Division in the preseason poll.

> Junior Anett Nemeth was named the Sun Belt Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Nemeth and Brigitta Petrenko were named to the preseason All-Sun Belt Team. 

> Additionally, Coastal Carolina welcomes seven newcomers to the team, including five freshmen. 

> This week's action will mark the first contests for the Chanticleers in 2020. 

> Jozsef Forman is in his ninth-year at the helm for Coastal Carolina. 

THE MATCH

> Thursday's morning match will mark the 17th meeting between the two SBC opponents. 

> The Chanticleers hold a 13-3 record in the overall series. The Panthers last defeated Coastal Carolina at home in 2002. 

> Fans will be permitted in the GSU Sports Arena during the 2020 season. Masks are required while in the arena at all times.

> Concessions will not be served during the match.
