ATLANTA – Georgia State's women's basketball team won its second game in a row at home Saturday with a 58-43 victory over Little Rock at the GSU Sports Arena.

It was a game of runs for GSU who used high-intensity defense to create chance on the offensive side of the ball. GSU held Little Rock to 29% shooting. The Panthers were able to put together multiple runs of six or more points to stay in front of the Trojans after taking the lead with 3:38 left in the first half.

Little Rock made it a two-point game in the second half, but Georgia State won the fourth quarter 18-8 to put the game away.

GSU outrebounded Little Rock 41-22 and scored 20 points in the paint compared to LR's eight.

Saturday's win marked the first win for GSU over Little Rock in the last 11 meetings. Georgia State improves to 6-16 (3-8 Sun Belt) while Little Rock falls to 10-12 (8-3 Sun Belt).
