Hosendove's Double-Double Helps GSU to Road Win

Taylor Hosendove scored 10 points with 11 rebounds in GSU's 47-41 win in Mobile.

Box Score MOBILE, Ala. -- Taylor Hosendove recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in Georgia State's 47-41 win at South Alabama Thursday night.

The Panthers jumped out to a 7-0 lead and stayed on top until the final minute of the third quarter when South Alabama went up 33-32. The Panthers outscored the Jaguars 15-8 in the final period to grab the six-point victory in Game 1 of the two-game series in Mobile.

Hosendove, who recorded her 12th career double-double, was joined in double figures by Hannah Sadler. Sadler totaled 12 points with five rebounds and four blocks. She's now reached double digits in two of GSU's last three games.

Georgia State held South Alabama to 26% shooting and totaled eight blocks as a team. Tehya Lyons and Sadler sealed the win going 3-for-4 at the free throw line in the final 30 seconds.

The Panthers and Jaguars face off again Friday at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
