Foster's Clutch 3-Pointer Takes Down Alabama A&M

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Ashley Foster's go-ahead 3-pointer with less than 20 seconds left led Georgia State to a 62-61 win at Alabama A&M Monday evening.

Georgia State outscored Alabama A&M 18-13 in the fourth quarter and held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless over the final 90 seconds. 

AAMU was in front for the majority of the contest. GSU held a four-point lead in the second quarter but the two sides headed into halftime tied 31-31. The Lady Bulldogs led by as much as seven late in the third quarter, but saw their lead erased in the final five minutes of the game.

Down by two and the shot clock turned off, Taylor Henderson brought the ball up the court after a defensive stop for GSU. Henderson dished the ball to Foster who drilled the open deep ball.

 
Foster finished with eight points and a team-high seven rebounds. Henderson, playing in her home state, led GSU in scoring at 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting.Mikyla Tolivert and Kam Dziak each finished with eight points.

GSU travels to Chattanooga this Saturday to face the Mocs on ESPN+.
