Richardson and the Panthers to Host Auburn Wednesday

ATLANTA -- Georgia State hosts Auburn Wednesday for a midweek battle at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.

The Panthers will host the Tigers for the eighth time since 2007. The two sides have played 18 contests over the same stretch with GSU's last victory coming in 2013 at Auburn. The Panthers last defeated the Tigers at home in 2010.

GSU's trip to Auburn on March 11, 2020 was the final game of the season before the schedule was halted due to Covid-19. Auburn won that meeting 2-1 after scoring a pair in the bottom of the sixth to overcome a solo shot by Bailee Richardson in the fifth.

Daisy Hess and Richardson continue to lead the offense for Georgia State. Hess is batting .356 followed by Richardson as .347. The pair have 14 of GSU's 27 home runs and total a combined 59 RBI.

Admission to the Bob Heck Softball Complex is free. Georgia State Athletics asks that visitors adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols as directed by the CDC and the Sun Belt Conference including wearing a mask and social distancing.
