Sun Belt Announces 2022 Women's Soccer Tournament Bracket

ATLANTA— With regular-season conference play concluding, the Sun Belt Conference announced its 2022 women's soccer tournament bracket on Thursday night. Georgia State women's soccer will compete as the No. 8 seed in the tournament and prepares to face No. 9-seeded Southern Miss for the first round on Monday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Panthers closed the regular season with a match facing Georgia Southern in Atlanta on Thursday night that saw GSU come up short, 1-0, off an 86th minute goal by the conference rival. GSU finishes 7-6-5 overall and 3-5-2 facing SBC competition.

The Sun Belt Championship will be held on Oct. 31-Nov. 6 at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala. Tournament matches will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live stats available to fans.

2022 marks the seventh consecutive season that the SBC Championship will be contested in Foley, Ala. The No. 8-seeded Panthers enter the tournament in hopes of making a run at claiming the program's first-ever Sun Belt Conference Championship.
