Win Streak to Six: Panthers Top ULM 82-70

Box Score ATLANTA-Georgia State knocked down 12 3-pointers, its most in a conference game this year, to earn an 82-70 win over ULM on Wednesday night at the GSU Sports Arena.

Georgia State (14-10, 8-5 Sun Belt) won for the sixth-straight time and eighth time in the last nine games as four Panthers finished in double figures led by seniors Justin Roberts and Corey Allen who each scored 15 points, both knocking down three 3-pointers a piece.

ULM (13-16, 5-12 Sun Belt) lost for the fourth-straight time despite a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds from Russell Harrison.

Sophomore Collin Moore scored a season high 11 points, knocking down three 3-pointers while also pulling down four rebounds. Junior Jalen Thomas just missed his third double-double of the season with seven points and 10 rebounds to go along with three of the Panthers' seven blocked shots.

Senior Eliel Nsoseme continued his hot play since returning from injury finishing with 14 points going 7-of-11 from the floor while also pulling down four rebounds to help Georgia State outrebound the Warhawks 43-29.

Georgia State took an early 6-2 lead, but neither team would lead by as many as four points again until Roberts knocked down a 3-pointer with 3:21 to play in the first half giving the Panthers a 34-28 lead.

The Panthers went into the locker room with a 36-35 lead after the two teams combined for six lead changes and eight ties in the first 20 minutes.

Georgia State scored seven of the first nine points of the second half to take a 43-37 lead with 18:12 to play.

Minutes later a Collin Moore 3-pointer started a 7-0 run that was capped by an Allen lay-up to give Georgia State a 57-47 lead with 12:13 to play. ULM would get no closer than seven points again the rest of the night.

A Roberts' 3-pointer with 9:21 to play gave Georgia State a 65-50 lead. Less than a minute later Williams knocked down his first 3-pointer of the night to push the lead to 16.

Georgia State finished the night shooting 47.0 percent from the floor and 12-of-29 (41.4%) from 3-point range.

Senior Kane Williams and freshman Ja'Heim Hudson each scored seven points while Williams dished out six assists. Williams made his school record 106th start, surpassing the record of 105 held by Rodney Hamilton for more than 20 years.
