Men's Basketball Set for Rematch with Coastal Carolina Thursday

ATLANTA-Looking to avenge a loss from last month, the Georgia State men's basketball team will start a two-game Carolinas road trip at Coastal Carolina on Thursday night at 7 p.m., at the HTC Center.

Georgia State (9-10, 3-5 Sun Belt) has won three of its last four games and will now look to split the season series with Coastal Carolina (12-9, 4-5 Sun Belt) following a 72-68 overtime loss to the Chanticleers in Atlanta last month.

Since returning from injury, senior Eliel Nsoseme has been heating up while averaging 9.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. He has recorded a pair of double-doubles in his first seven starts back and garnered double figure rebound totals in five of his last six games, including a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds in the first match-up with Coastal.

Senior Corey Allen leads the Panthers averaging 14.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game with a team-high 43 3-pointers. He enters play on Thursday just five points shy of 1,000 for his career in a Panther uniform. The All-Sun Belt Preseason First Team member is also third on the team in steals and second on the team in assists.

Senior Kane Williams, who moved into fifth place on Georgia State's all-time scoring list last month, is now the all-time wins leader, free throws made, and free throws attempted leader in program history. He is averaging 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 80.2 percent from the free throw line after going 11-of-11 last Saturday as a part of a 17-point performance.

Senior Justin Roberts, who scored a team-high 17 points against Troy on Thursday, is adding 12.0 points per game and shooting 76.6 percent from the free throw line. Along with Williams and Allen, he is one of three Panthers in the starting line-up with at least 1,000 points for his career.

Roberts and Allen are both now within 170 points of becoming the 24th and 25th 1,000-point career scorers in GSU program history. Both started their careers at other schools before transferring to GSU.
