STATESBORO, GA – Panthers Drop Game One To Georgia Southern.
Carolyn Deady hits her eighth home run of the season, but it was not enough as Georgia Southern's 7th inning efforts helped them muster out a 3-2 win.
The Panthers earned the first score of the game with Bailee Richardson's single through the right side in the top of the 3rd, but it did not last long as the Eagles responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
In the top of the 4th, Deady quickly responded with a solo homerun evening out the score at 2-2.
However, in the bottom of the 7th, a sac-fly to left field ended the game with the go-ahead run.
The Panthers will face the Eagles again on Friday, May 6th, at 3 pm in Statesboro, GA.
