Tough Road Loss at Marshall

ATLANTA -- Georgia State suffered a tough 103-65 loss at Marshall Saturday night at the Cam Henderson Center.

It was a difficult night on both ends of the floor as the Panthers shot just 33 percent from the field and committed a season-high 23 turnovers. Meanwhile, Marshall (18-4, 7-3 Sun Belt) connected on 56 percent, including 11 3-pointers.

Jamaine Mann led Georgia State (9-13, 2-8) with 12 points, while Evan Johnson and Collin Moore scored nine each. Joe Jones III pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds, the most by any Panther this season.

"Tough night at the office," head coach Jonas Hayes said. "Marshall is a really good team, maybe the best team in our league, and they were hitting on all cylinders.

"The road has not been kind to us, but we have to continue to grow and learn through adversity."

After four straight road games, Georgia State returns home to host Georgia Southern next Thursday, Feb. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the GSU Convocation Center. For tickets, visit GeorgiaStateSports.com/tix or call 404-413-4020 during business hours.
