THE TIPOFF: Georgia State hosts Georgia Southern in a "White Out" at the GSU Convocation Center Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

White Out

> Coming off four straight road games, the Panthers are playing their first home game since a 100-66 win over Coastal Carolina on Jan. 14. The Panthers are 9-5 this season at the GSU Convocation Center.

> Since returning from injury (thumb), sophomore guard Collin Moore has made an immediate impact, averaging 11.5 ppg for his first four games of the season. After scoring 10 points at Old Dominion in his season debut, Moore had a career-high 17 points with five rebounds at Georgia Southern.

> Ja'Heim Hudson scored a career-high 26 points to lead the Panthers to a 100-66 win over Coastal Carolina (Jan. 14) in which GSU set season-highs for points, 3-pointers (16), field goal percentage (.638) and assists (26) while holding the Chanticleers to 35 percent shooting. 

> Hudson averages 10.5 points on the season and leads GSU in rebounding (7.4/9th in Sun Belt), blocked shots (19) and steals (25).

> Junior guard Brenden Tucker is averaging a team-high 13.3 ppg in Sun Belt play (12.2 overall), including two 20-point games. He recorded season highs with 25 points and six rebounds at ULM, including 10-of-13 free throws. Last week, Tucker scored 21 points vs. Troy and 19 vs. Coastal Carolina.

> Sophomore guard Dwon Odom leads the Panthers in scoring (13.8 ppg) and assists (69) while ranking second on the team in rebounding (4.6 pg), steals (22) and blocked shots (15).

> Odom has reached 20 points four times, including a career-high 27 in the win over UNC Asheville and 24 vs. Belmont. He handed out a career-high 11 assists vs. Coastal Carolina.

> Georgia State ranks No. 2 in the Sun Belt in free throw shooting at 72.2 percent. Individually, Dwon Odom (.824) is fourth and Brenden Tucker (.769) is fifth.

> Georgia State has made at least one 3-point field goal in 852 straight games, dating back to the 1994-95 season. The last team to hold the Panthers without a trey was Stetson on Feb. 18, 1995. The streak is among the top 25 in the nation.

SERIES NOTES: Georgia State has won three of the last four against Georgia Southern and holds a 12-7 lead against the Eagles during the Sun Belt era, beginning in 2014-15.

> Georgia Southern won the first meeting this season 58-52 on Jan. 21 in Statesboro. Collin Moore led the Panthers with a career-high 17 points in just his second game of the season.

> Last season, the Panthers swept both games, 79-63 in Atlanta and 58-49 in Statesboro. 

> Georgia Southern leads the overall series, which goes back to 1971-72, 39-26.

> Georgia State has won 12 of the last 15 meetings in Atlanta, and the Panthers are 15-12 against Georgia Southern on their home court.

SHINING IN THE SUN BELT: Since returning to the Sun Belt Conference for the 2013-14 season, Georgia State has been the league's most successful program:

> GSU has won four Sun Belt Tournament titles since 2014 (2015, 1018, 2019, 2022). No other program has more than one in that time.

> Georgia State has finished first or second in the league standings in six of the last nine years, including regular-season titles in 2014, 2015 and 2019 and the East Division crown in 2021.
