Panthers Travel to South Carolina for Clemson Matchup

 The Panthers face their second ACC foe on the season as they travel to South Carolina to face Clemson on Dec. 16 at 2:00 p.m.

> The Panthers rank second in the Sun Belt in blocks (4.0). GSU is also third in the conference in bench points (25.9 ppg) and turnovers forced per game (21.38).

> GSU ranks fifth in the Sun Belt 37th nationally for steals, averaging 11.1 per game.

> Preseason All-Sun Belt guard Mikyla Tolivert leads GSU in scoring (14.3 ppg), which ranks 11th in the Sun Belt. Tolivert also leads the Panthers in free throw percentage (.865), which ranks third in the conference. The Junior Guard has totaled 100 points on the season.

> Veteran leader Deasia Merrill leads the Panthers in rebounding (6.4 rpg) and ranks third in the Sun Belt for blocks per game (1.29). The 6-1 senior from Villa Rica, Ga., was second on the team in the 2022-23 season with 13.6 points per game, along with a team-leading 7.2 rebounds. She ranked 11th in the Sun Belt in scoring and 10th in rebounding.

> Junior post player Alyssa Phillip, who has seen the most time on the court, leads the Panthers squad in total rebounds with 49 (6.1 rpg). Phillip averages 3.3 ppg on the season. Phillip averaged 3.5 ppg and 5.2 rpg in the 2022-23 season.

> Veteran guard Kamryn Dziak averages 5.3 ppg and 1.3 rpg on the season. The graduate ranks top ten in the program after tallying 109 career 3-pointers. The graduate Panther- missed the 2022-23 season due to injury after averaging 4.8 points in 2021-22.

> The Panthers' cast of newcomers includes experienced transfers such as Patience Williams (USF), Mya Williams (Hutchinson C.C.), Erin Turral (Stony Brook), Aniya Palmer

(Mississippi State) and Kaleigh Addie (Xavier) as well as promising freshmen like Crystal Henderson (Kell High School), Eghosa Obasuyi (Carrollton) and Aaliyah Hunt (Peachtree Ridge).

SERIES VS. CLEMSON: Georgia State and Clemson, which plays in the Atlantic Coast Conference, are meeting for the third time in program history. The Panthers are 1-1 on the series after falling 59-85 at home against the Tigers on Nov. 4, 2022.

> The Panthers' victory over the Tigers occurred Nov. 22, 2008, when GSU defeated Clemson 82-75 on the road.

Following the contest against Clemson, the Panthers return home to face LaGrange College on Dec. 19 at 1:30 p.m.
