Moore, Tucker Score 18 Each at Arkansas State

JONESBORO, ARK. -- Collin Moore and Brenden Tucker scored 18 points each but Georgia State fell at Arkansas State 75-70 Saturday afternoon at First National Bank Arena.

In a back-and-forth second half, Georgia State (10-18, 3-13) took its last lead at 65-64 on a bucket by Dwon Odom with 4:19 to play. After Arkansas State (11-18, 3-13) regained the lead with consecutive baskets, Moore's dunk pulled the Panthers within 68-67 with 2:53 left. But the Red Wolves scored the next four to move ahead 72-67.

Moore again answered, hitting a 3-pointer with 40 seconds left to make it 72-70. But the Panthers couldn't get the stop they needed as Caleb Fields hit pull up jumper with 14 seconds left to make it a two-possession game, and Arkansas State held on for the win.

The backcourt of Fields (21 points) and Terrance Ford Jr. (22 points) combined for 43 points for the Red Wolves, who shot 54 percent from the field in the second half.

Georgia State led by as many as eight points in the first half before taking a 39-35 lead into the locker room.

Four Panthers scored in double figures, Odom chipped in 12 points and five assists, and Kaleb Scott came off the bench for his second straight double-figure effort with 11 points, along with five rebounds.
