ATLANTA, GA --Jahniya Jackson matched a career-high 16 kills as GSU fell in five sets (14-25, 23-25, 25-18, 29-27, 15-17) to Coastal Carolina Saturday afternoon at the GSU Sports Arena.
After a slow start, the Panthers offense reset with Erin Wyatt and Aaliyah Mitchell contributing 11 kills each. GSU applied pressure from the service line, recording eight services aces throughout the match.
On the defensive end, Livy Kowalkowski led the back row efforts with 18 digs to go along with 15 total team blocks at the net, spearheaded by Akira Burt.
The loss drops Georgia State's record to 3-10 overall and 0-2 in Sun Belt play. The Panthers will look to defend their home court next Thursday against conference foe, Marshall, at 6:00 p.m.
