ATLANTA, GA -- After falling to the Thundering Herd in last night's contest, Georgia State responded with a 3-2 victory over the conference foe (18-25, 25-13, 25-19, 21-25, 20-18) Friday afternoon at the GSU Sports Arena.
The Panthers offense kept the visitors on their toes as six players recorded double-digit kills. The Panthers were led by Jahniya Jackson who added 14 kills. Erin Wyatt recorded a double-double, registering 13 kills and 19 digs on the day. Meanwhile, Amanda Albertini, Aaliyah Mitchell, and Akira Burt contributed 11 kills each. Newcomer, Jexsamarie Perez dished out a career-high 30 assists in the effort.
Livy Kowalkowski spearheaded the defense collecting 29 digs to go with six blocks from Akira Burt at the net.
The victory concludes a four-game homestand. The Panthers will continue conference action next Friday at Appalachian State. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
