Box Score ORLANDO, FL—Georgia State (2-3) closed out its season-opening weekend at the UCF Black and Gold Classic, falling 7-0 to UCF. 
 
UCF took a 5-0 advantage over the Panthers and didn't look back, ultimately defeating the Panthers in the final matchup of the UCF Black and Gold Classic. 
 
Led by Sydney Boulware at the mound, the Panthers held the game to 5-0 through the sixth inning, but the Knights tacked on two runs late in the sixth. 
 
The Panthers score their first two runs of the game in the seventh, when Lauren Brister hit a two-run homer to send Jaycee Goodwin and Chloe Nadler home, but UCF ultimately solidified a 7-2 win over the Panthers.  
 
The Panther return to Atlanta to host their season-opener against Mercer on Feb. 14 at 5:00 p.m.
