ATLANTA --
Jesse Donohoe homered twice and drove in seven runs and
Michael Maginnis added five hits and five RBI as Georgia State split its Sun Belt Conference doubleheader with ULM, falling 13-10 in Game 1 before winning 13-4 in the nightcap at the GSU Baseball Complex.
Georgia State (12-11 overall) improved to 4-1 in the Sun Belt, tied with Louisiana, Southern Miss and Texas State atop the conference standings. ULM is 13-10, 2-3.
The series finale is Sunday at 1 p.m.
GAME 1: ULM 13, GEORGIA STATE 10
Jesse Donohoe homered and drove in four runs and
Michael Maginnis added three RBI, but Georgia State fell 13-10 to ULM, which took the lead on a grand slam by Matt Abshire in the top of the ninth inning.
Georgia State rallied from a 9-5 deficit with three runs in the eighth. Maginnis tied the game with a 2-run single and then scored on wild pitch to put the Panthers up 10-9.Â
Donohoe had an RBI-single in the second inning and then a 2-run double in third as the Panthers took a 5-2 lead before ULM scored five in the fourth and two more in fifth to move ahead 9-5.
In the bottom of the fifth,
Matt Ruiz tripled and scored a sacrifice fly by
Will Mize, and then Dohonoe led off the sixth with a solo homer to pull GSU within 9-7.
GAME2: GEORGIA STATE 13, ULM 4

JoJo Jackson with 4-for-5 with an RBI to lead Georgia State to a 13-4 victory and a doubleheader split against ULM.
The Panthers took control of the game early with three runs in the second inning, five in the third and three more in the fourth to jump to an 11-2 lead.
GSU starter
Quin McManmon (1-0) pitched five innings and allowed just two runs on a first-inning homer. He gave up five hits and struck out six to earn his first victory. After McManmon, Georgia State used three relievers, including senior
Duncan Lutz, who finished the game with 1.2 scoreless innings with three strikeouts.
Donohoe's 3-run homer, his third of the season, capped a 5-run third inning to give Georgia State an 8-2 lead.Â
Maginnis singled and scored in the second, delivered an RBI-double in the third and then a run-scoring single in the fourth.
Jackson had hits in his first four trips to the plate, including an RBI-double in the fourth inning.
