LAFAYETTE, LA. - Georgia State (10-12) defeated Louisiana (11-10) and Southern Miss (7-9) to finish regular season on a 4-0 winning streak.
Edward Tymes, Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week, went 4-0 on the weekend. Tymes has won seven consecutive singles matches and twelve overall.

The Panthers played Louisiana on Saturday morning, taking the doubles point to earn the 1-0 advantage.
In singles play, Tymes posted an impressive 6-0, 6-1 decision on court No. 2 to add another point for the Panthers. Georgia State then dropped matches on courts No. 1, 3, and 6, giving Louisiana a 3-2 lead.
Maxwell Weir tied the match at 3-3 with a 6-2, 7-5 victory on court No. 5.
Diogo Morais then clinched the match for the Panthers on court 4 with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win.
GSU vs Southern Miss
Georgia State won their second doubles point of the weekend to start at a 1-0 advantage against Southern Miss.
In singles play,
Baran Soyler took the top court in a three-setter, 5-7, 7-5, 6-1. Tymes continued his winning streak on court No. 2, taking a 6-4, 6-4 victory. On court No. 4, Morais closed out a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
The Panthers then dropped matches on singles courts No. 3 and 5, giving two points to the Golden Eagles and making the overall score 4-2 for the Panthers.
Georgia State will compete next in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament starting on Thursday April 18.
