CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Georgia State softball blanked 1-0 at Chattanooga for the final road game of the season on Tuesday evening.
Junior Sydney Boulware (6-15) got the ball to start for Georgia State (11-39) and took the loss. The right-hander went six innings, giving up one run on three hits, allowing one walk and striking out five.
In the batter's box, the Panthers were paced by sophomore Ashton Schroyer, who went 1-for-3 on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgia State managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 1-for-4 with runners in scoring position. The Panthers last got a runner on third in the third, when freshman McKenzie Walker made it 60 feet away from scoring with one out.
